                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[@protomania <br /><br />For quick STL modification and part separation specifically for 3D printing, here's my workflow:<br /><br />1. Blender for most of the work - it's free and handles STL files natively. The mesh separation tools are excellent once you learn them (use the knife tool + separate by selection). For creating printable bodies, the Solidify modifier is your friend.<br /><br />2. If you're struggling with complex separations in Blender, try Meshmixer (free) which is purpose-built for this kind of work. The "Separate Shells" and "Plane Cut" features are extremely useful.<br /><br />For what you're describing, investing time in fancy paid software isn't worth it. The tools in Blender + Meshmixer will handle 95% of what you need for prepping models for resin printing.<br /><br />Always run your models through PrusaSlicer or Chitubox before printing to check for issues, even if you prepared them elsewhere.]]></content:encoded>

<p>But if you're just starting out, master Blender first - it's free and crazy powerful now. You can always learn others when you really need them.</p>]]></content:encoded>
