Hello everyone! I'm very glad to take part in this annual competition. The main idea of my project here is the end of the season 2016. The winter is coming what means no more track sessions, drag or time attack events in the nearest 3 or 4 months. But yet there is some time for the last time lap on the track or a cloudy burnout. I wanted to illustrate the final season ride to the nearest open track in a daily pickup with a full custom build car on a trailer.
Both models that will be used in my scene were my own sketches. It's like my vision of what a pickup (or a ute) and a track car should look like. I pretty much understand that its a risky business to illustrate a concept in this competition, because it's more easy to recognize and estimate existing models of cars, but I'll try!
So, I've started with some quick sketches. Here is a ute body. First sketch was made when I was a child, and I thought it will be cool to reborn it with my today's skills of drawing and modelling.
Next step: sketches of a custom track car. Let's call it TrackRocket!

Next step was to make proper blueprints of both concepts. Used Autodesk AutoCAD for that mission.

Some clay renders of both concepts. Worked harder on the suspension of a track car. As a reference used back suspension of Daigo Saito's Lambo.
