Originally constructed as a pavilion for the 1967 World Exposition and now a housing complex in Montreal, Habitat 67 has become one of the most recognizable landmarks in Canadian architecture.
I've begun this project with modeling based on the same approach that the original structure is built upon; modularity. Each unit is created from blocks then stacked upon each other in specific combinations to permit each unit their own private living space and terrace.
At this point I have a rough layout of the building put together and have begun with refining modularity in order to get each module to fit correctly within the structure.
