Losing my student license soon and totally confused about pricing options. Saw regular subscription is like $1900/year?! That can't be right... Then found something about Indie license but not sure if it has limitations. Anyone here actually using these different licenses who can explain the real differences and restrictions? Really don't want to lose access to Max but that standard price is insane.

Been using Indie license for 2 years now - $280/year in US. Only restriction is you can't make more than $100k annually from it. Software is exactly the same as full version. Perfect for freelancers and small studios.

Pricing varies by region. It's like €350 in Europe with €50k revenue limit. Still WAY better than full subscription though.

Yep, unlike ZBrush Core vs full ZBrush, Max Indie is identical to standard version. Only difference is the license terms. Autodesk had to do this to keep freelancers from switching to Blender lol

This is super helpful! One more question - can I install Indie version on multiple computers? Working from home and office...

Just switched to Indie last month. Process was pretty simple - just had to provide some basic info and confirm I'm under revenue limit. They don't even ask for proof unless they audit you.
